Biography

Vedas Toronado is a band born in Uruguay, a quiet small country south of the south, where cows outnumber humans in a 4 to 1 ratio (cows tried a take-over, but they weren’t successful… still). In a land where candombe, murga and tropical rhythms are the main and most popular musical genres, these guys dared to defy the status quo and embraced grunge, hard rock, and metal to create aggressive but epic songs with carefully crafted guitar arrangements.

All four musicians barely knew each other before starting this project. However, it all fit together amazingly, especially when Monkeyman (guitars and backing vocals) joined forces with Christian, aka “Titan” (guitars and lead vocals) in 2017 to create the foundations of this band. Surprisingly, these two discovered that they had a nearly identical life history: having had a long-term relationship with music; playing piano and guitar since they were children; and discovering rock by chance thanks to two bands: Guns n’ Roses and Nirvana.

From 2017 onwards, Titan and Monkeyman worked together on the composition of several songs, always thinking of forming a band, which didn’t happen until 2020.

Once they knew that they had found the right people, they began to rehearse to record their first six songs, which will be released soon.

ABOUT THE SINGLE: “Hell is Overloaded” challenges the consensus around what is considered “good” and “bad” in absolute terms.
Heaven and hell are not distant realms—they’re within reach, expressed in different ways through each human being. Choosing one or the other becomes a metaphor for the decisions we make throughout our lives, and how those choices shape both our surroundings and ourselves. The title also evokes the Catholic concept of hell—suggesting that, if such a place truly existed, it would be overwhelmed by infernal attitudes and infernal people.

In essence, Hell is Overloaded invites listeners to break free from imposed moral precepts and question inherited beliefs
